Description

EPIC AEROSPACE is a private company developing a series of orbital transfer vehicles (OTVs) called CHIMERAS, which are aimed at providing last-mile delivery services for small satellites.

As part of a commercial contract, the CHIMERA GEO 1 Mission is to deploy a passenger satellite from drop-off by SpaceX launch vehicle into the geostationary orbit, after which time the CHIMERA GEO spacecraft will be moved to the graveyard orbit.

To accomplish its mission, The CHIMERA GEO 1 Spacecraft will commit a number of orbit maneuvers, and thus operate in a number of different orbit plane configurations. The maneuvers include a lunar swingby.

The Launch Vehicle for this mission is SpaceX Falcon 9, where the CHIMERA Spacecraft uses one of the rideshare slots. The main payload for such Falcon 9 launch is Intuitive Machines 2 (IM-2).
