COSMIC (COmmercial Space Innovation Mission In CubeSat) is a 3U CubeSat rideshare mission scheduled for launch in Q4 2025 aboard the Nuri launch vehicle (KSLV-II). The satellite hosts two primary payloads: a Post Mission Disposal (PMD) device aimed at mitigating space debris, and an in-house onboard computer (OBC) with motor drivers designed to support the development of Korean lunar rovers. The mission’s overarching goal is to provide small enterprises and startups in the nation with an opportunity to achieve in-orbit heritage and advance their technologies beyond TRL 7. The platform will be designed and manufactured by the Department of Satellite Systems at Yonsei University, along with the complete assembly, integration, and testing (AIT).
