Description

Shizuoka University's STARS X (Space Tethered Autonomous Robotic Satellite X) is a technical demonstration of debris capture using space tether technology by the Shizuoka University. It consists of a Mother Satellite and a Daughter Satellite connected by a tether.

A tether is extended to 1 km in orbit, a robot (climber) moves on it, and a debris capture experiment is performed using a net.
