Description

A 3U CubeSat designed and built by the University of Victoria (UVic) as part of the Canadian Space Agency's CUBICS program. The satellite carries the open-source, GNU Radio-compatible Modular CubeSat Radio (MCR) payload to test experimental amateur radio communication and transionospheric sounding. It features an multi-band architecture broadcasting on HF (10m), VHF (2m), and UHF (70cm), including a DVB-S2 digital video beacon, a VHF digipeater, and linear frequency modulation (LFM) radar for ionospheric science. The satellite utilizes a high-resilience Lithium Titanate (LTO) battery system for low-temperature operations.
