Description

The NutSat-3, a 3U CubeSat that is capable of multi satellite APRS relay, developed by National Formosa University and NutSat Team in collaboration with Taiwan Space Agency's CubeSat project and will last for one year to achieve the goal of space engineering education and training.

The satellite also includes three tasks:

  1. Verification of functionality and reliability of indigenous designed key subsystems in orbit operation including the onboard computer, flight software, electrical power system, battery module and solar panels.

  2. The VHF APRS transceiver provides global amateur radio signal relay services and allows students to learn satellite radio signal tracking methods.

  3. The GNSS receiver determines the satellite orbital position during signal reception, transmits GNSS in-orbit data via APRS, and provides students with the ability to study and research the propagation characteristics of the ionosphere on amateur-band electromagnetic waves.
