| Description | Shin’en 2 is a satellite developed as a student project of the Kagoshima University, Japan. Shin’en 2 carries an amateur mode J linear transponder in interplanetary space. Shin’en 2 is in an elliptical orbit between Mars and Venus. The orbit has a near zero inclination keeping the satellite along the Earth’s equatorial plane. The satellite orbits between 0.7 and 1.3 AU. 1 AU is equal to the distance between the Earth and the Sun. |
