Description | Amateur-satellite Please note: IARU declined the coordination request. The team still tries to solve the issue with the IARU Advisory Panel because of the underlying misunderstandings. TU Berlin was and still is a heavy supporter of Amateur Radio. The TUBSAT amateur satellites are strong enablers for the Amateur Radio Club, multiple teaching courses as well as Students Operations initiatives on a volunteering basis. The German regulatory authority "Bundesnetzagentur (BNetzA)" accepted during the complex application process the Amateur usage and assigned an Amateur Callsign as well as the frequency assignment following the coordination process of ITU. TU Berlin fully understands the increasing number of violations within the Amateur services but operates the TUBSATs with regards to the rules of the German, European and international regulatory frameworks, esp. the Radio Regulations. |
