Description The new instrument, the Combined Radiation Detector (KODIZ) is developed at M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University, Skobeltsyn Institute of Nuclear Physics (SINP MSU) and is planned to launch on Monitor-1 cubesat on 09 August 2022. For a long time, such types of detectors as semiconductor detectors, Cherenkov detectors and SiPM detectors have been used as space radiation detectors. KODIZ is designed to register dose rates of cosmic radiation, fluxes of high-energy nuclei, and neutron fluxes on microsatellites such as CubeSats. The instrument is expected to be used to detect the appearance of Solar Energetic Particles fluxes, which may create an additional radiation load onboard aircraft.
