Description Foresail-1p is 3U Cubesat launched in November 2025 on the Space-X Transporter-15 mission. The satellite is developed by Aalto University in Finland, with rest of FORESAIL consortium, and serves as a successor to Foresail-1 mission. The mission involves both radio amateur and space science mission aspects. It has two main payloads: a particle telescope (PATE) for measuring LEO radiation environment, developed by the University of Turku, and a technology demonstration called Plasma Brake developed by Finnish Meteorological Institute. The Plasma Brake (PB) aims to demonstrate a propellant-less way of altering a satellite's orbit as well as eventually de-orbiting it, using Coulomb drag. For the radio amateurs the mission demonstrates a new Skylink framing protocol for easy and reliable satellite communication protocol and the amateurs can work via satellite using repeater virtual channel. The website is TBU.
